Evidence-based Feasibility data is essential to have early, providing patient level data to direct protocol development and ensure the study's feasibility. But what if a study is already running, and accrual continues to lag behind? The independent assessment through EbF provides clarity where big and costly decisions need to be made.
Case study #1 : EbF for an adult study in oncology
This EbF was performed in the context of an already ongoing study, where accrual lagged behind substantially to the numbers coming out of the client's own internal feasibility. The independent assessment through EbF confirmed the accrual numbers seen up to that point and provided the necessary foundation for the client to eventually take the brave, but difficult decision to abandon the study, limiting its losses.
